Alternately known as Charley Boswell Golf Course, this course was established in 1903 as the original Country Club of Birmingham. In 1998, architect Bob Cupp oversaw a major redesign of the course. This par-70 course is among the most popular public-access courses in the city, in part because it is not punishingly long. Three sets of tees stretch from 4,793 to 5,801.
The standard rates (with cart) are $42 on Mondays through Thursdays, $49 on Fridays, weekends and holidays. Senior, junior, student, 9-hole, and sliding twilight rates are available, as are annual passes.
