Tradition at Royal New Kent
10100 Kentland Trl
Providence Forge, VA 23140-3464, United States

804.966.7023
Given that the late Mike Strantz was the architect of this course, it should not be surprising that Royal New Kent can compare to a rollicking roller coaster ride. It bears resemblance to Irish links courses such as Royal County Down and Ballybunion inasmuch as many greens lie behind sharp knolls, hand-stacked rock walls, and areas of tall fescue. Over 120 bunkers guard the rather fast greens here, while five tee boxes stretch the course from 4,900 yards to over 7,300, from which the Invicta tees play to an enormous 153 slope.

This course is owned and operated by Traditional Golf Properties. Memberships are available here, as well as a number of package discounts.

This course has updated information like phone, address, description or scorecard and is pending approval. These changes must be approved before they will be available on a SkyCaddie.

Never seen anything like this course in all of virginia. Just played with my buddies for the second time. They were taking pictures every hole. Its beautiful as well as very challenging.. I call this course THE BEAST. You will not regret playing here even if you do not score low.

Wow I can tell by your score! When will you be in the Tidewaer area so we can play a round?

Played this course as part of the Korean Grocer's Golf Tournament, and the damage from Irene and Lee (Hurricane and TS) was very evident. Bunkers were in poor condition, greens were irregular in speed with many damaged areas and long treks between fairways. However, under better conditions, this is a beautiful course and a very challenging layout. Will play again.
