This is one of several courses owned and operated by Golofklubbur Reykjavikur, which was founded in 1934, making it the oldest golf club in Iceland. The Korpúlfsstaðavöllur ("Korpa Course") was built in 1996 by necessity; demand for access to the club's original Grafarholtsvöllur ("Grafarholt Course") because so heavy that they retained architect Hannes Thorsteinsson to design this second 18-hole course.
