Old Tom Morris did the original layout of this course in 1894, in recent years the design has been restored to what Morris likely would have done. Nevertheless, playing the course is not expensive; the summer day-rates are £16 weekdays and £20 on weekends and bank holidays. Junior, guest-of-member, and winter rates are offered, as are memberships. Societies also are welcome with prior arrangement. (Buggies are £20/round.)
