This is a neat little executive course on the west side of the valley that I will be returning to in the future. The pace of play was abysmally slow on the front nine. It took us more than two hours to play a par 31 layout. But it sped up immensely on the back when the group in front of us elected to go home. We ended up playing about 90 minutes on the back, which is a pretty good speed for a foursome.

The greens and fairways were in great shape, and there were some neat holes. My one big complaint is that not all of the tee boxes were level, and I find that to be a very important attribute. The worst offender was a very short par 3 on the front nine where the ball was over a half foot higher than my feet. Hitting an uneven wedge shot off the tee is an extremely difficult shot for me to execute. Usually, those are the types of shots I end up with as punishment for not putting my previous shot where I wanted it. I find it patently ridiculous to have to take a shot like that off the tee, and it cost Peoria Pines a full star in its overall rating.

I like this course have played it for 3 years now, like it better now that its Peoria Pines, you get to play most all of your clubs and its a great place to stop after work to get 9 holes in. Good place to get your golf on for a fair price.
