Wrenwoods Golf Course

Joint Base Charleston, SC 29404-2152, United States

843.963.1833
Wrenwoods GC is a George Cobb design dating to 1966 that runs through 200 acres within the gates of Joint Base Charleston. The name comes from that of South Carolina's official state bird. The course stretches from 6,634 yards for the lower-handicap player down to 2,250 for families and beginners and features two PGA Family-Level sets of tees.

Since this course is on an active military base, civilians wishing to play the course should call ahead for availability and access policy. The walking rates are $17 weekdays, $20 weekends. Juniors and E1-E4s pay a lower rate.

The course gets a lot of daily play by higher handicaps and can slow down. Can't beat the value and the staff. Course has some interesting holes and plays fairly tough from the blue tees, some holes reward placement over power. All in all nice course with nice people but the Air Force has put more of their money in airplanes then course maintenance, which is OK by me.
