Ashton Court is an Approach and Putt Public Golf Club located a few minutes walk away from the Bristol landmark, Clifton Suspension Bridge. There are two 18 holes courses (Lodge and Plateau) and I have played the former one. This course is very good to play multiple practice rounds and to develop short game skills. There are no bunkers or water hazards but the average length of the holes is above 110 yards and the extremely demanding greens make some of the approaching work (and subsequent putting) pretty complicated. The cost is absolutely competitive and the countryside location is stunning with a nice view of Bristol Brandon Hill’s Cabot Tower.
