This course lies in the center of Baton Rouge and is one of the busiest public courses in the area. The back nine is the best part of the layout, with a nice mix of long and short par 4's and par 5's. There is a dry creek that meanders its way through this course and runs diagonally across holes #14 and #16, both par 4's. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays.

The greens are great year round. However, as with many public courses, you get very poor golfers who do not pick up after eight strokes and move to the next hole. Accordingly, you will have to wait because there are no marshals out regulating play. Also, as with most of the golfers on this course, balls are flying everywhere so be very observant that you don't get hit by an errant ball.

As far as municipal courses go, Webble Beach is probably in the middle of the pack. It's not the worst place on earth, but the course will take a few strokes from you that a nicer course wouldn't. But for $30 including a cart, it's not a decent value. Just don't expect the world.

This is a real track! The greens were the best part of it but they were not great. The value was the best part... nowhere else can you sharpen your skills for $15 at a daily rate!! I will come back whenever I need to loosen up and get in some walking golf. I liked it.
