Bel-Air is usually ranked in the top 100 courses in all of the United States by the various golf publications. The course opened in 1926 and the architecture has been credited to three men: George C. Thomas, William P. Bell (the elder Bell), and Jack Neville. In the intervening decades, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and George Fazio have overseen modifications to the course.
Bel-Air is a private country club; visitors are permitted only as guests of members.
