There has definitely been some cost cutting going on at Footjoy. My latest pair of Contours are not quite as comfortable as my previous pairs. There is noticably less padding around the heel for example.

This is the best shoe I have ever worn. I've put in over 200 rounds with a pair of these bad boys. I'm on my fifth set of soft spikes with the same pair of shoes. They don't look the greatest anymore, but they are still waterproof and still comfortable. I also have a set of Dry Joys, and there is no comparison. The Contour Series is a brand I will be coming back to.
